LOCKS.EXE v1.2 1991(c) Scott E. Hayes
LOCKS.EXE locks up you computer when you are away.
To keep snoopy people out of your stuff!
Locks is used by typing LOCKS password.
After you run locks you get a key (o─╥╖), if you enter in your password locks
is closed. If you type your password wrong or someone else tries to unlock
your computer a screen saver comes up. If any key is hit your put at
a bogus C prompt. The fake c prompt gives a "Bad command or file name"
message to any thing typed in (except the password). When the password
is entered locks is ended.
The fake C:\> is nice, people will wonder what the hell is wrong
with your computer and walk away...
Anything typed at the fake C:\> will be logged to a file called
LOCKS.LOG and give the time it was entered.
I have the (o─╥╖) at first so if you run LOCKS from your AUTOEXEC.BAT you
don't have to mess with screen saver.
The screen saver should work on VGA, EGA, CGA, and Hercules monitors.
If it doesn't drop me a note and see if I can fix it.
Also in this zip file is a program called ENTER, all ENTER does is
record when your computer was turned on. Put it in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file
somewhere, when it has been run it puts the time and date in a file called
LOGENTER at the root of C:. ENTER is a silly program, but it nice to see
if anyone turns on your computer at night or when ever.
It works and its almost free what more could you ask for?
If you find this program useful, registration fee is $5.00.
I will send you v1.3 for free when its done.
It will include some new really neat items.
p.s.
use at your own risk!
